Who is a good Patron Saint to pray to for problems with Anger or Mental problems?

I am not Catholic, but I find St. Dympna's story to be most interesting. Here is a prayer to her. The link provides information on her life, and lists other Patron Saints of mental illness..

A Prayer Used to Ask for Help from Saint Dympna

Lord, our God, you graciously chose Saint Dympna as patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray. (Here mention those for whom you wish to pray).

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of Saint Dympna on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience in their sufferings and resignation to your divine will. Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire. We ask this through Christ our Lord who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.

Maybe the patron saint of firefighters would rather be the patron saint of plumbers. Did catholics ask the saint what he wants to be a patron of or does the Pope make him stuck in his job?

Those in Heaven are perfect in their capacity to love. I cannot imagine the patron saint of firefighters, Saint Florian of Lorch, being put out that firefighters ask him to pray for them.

Firefighters can ask any saint in Heaven to pray for them. The patron saint of firefighters is simply a role model for firefighters.

I am in the RCIA program at my local catholic church, and I have been searching for a Patron Saint to choose. I have not been able to find a patron saint of entrepreneurs. Is there one?

I was wondering because I've always thought that Joan of Arc was the Patron Saint of France, but it's Saint Denis.

Can there be more then one saint? What makes a saint a patron saint of something?

I don't know as much about saints as I should know and I don't get it.

It says on her French Wikipedia article that she is one of the three patron saints of France. Here is a rough translation of a French list of their patron saints, and you can Joan of Arc second on the list:

"Patron Saints of France.

Principal Patron Saint:

Saint Marie.
Principal patron saint of France by Pius XI in 1922,

Secondary Patron Saints:

Saint Jeanne d' Arc, secondary patron saint since 1922.

Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, secondary patron saint since 1944.

Other Saints and National Protectors:

Saint Denis, first bishop of Paris.
Saint Martin, bishop of Tours, father of the Church.
Saint Louis, King of France.
Saint Michel, he is not a patron saint, but a protector of France."

It seems like Popes have often chosen patron saints but groups can too.

The Bible says nothing about praying to 'saints"

Only Jesus is the channel for prayer, and the prayer must be to the same "One" who Jesus himself prayed to...his Father in heaven, the one who created him [ Jesus] the one who spoke of out heaven when Jesus was baptised, Almighty God...
