I've noticed things like "purity rings" and "purity balls" that are a really popular trend with young christian girls who want to advertise their virginity, and it made me wonder if boys do anything like that. Is it seen as important that boys remain celibate until marriage (some people believe that it's the woman's duty to please the man sexually, and the idea of her having sexual needs is weird and foreign), and if so, why isn't there a trend out there that allows them to announce it to the world?

Also, do people really believe that someone who has had sexual contact is "dirty" or "unclean" or something? Doesn't that give a really unhealthy view of sexuality to some people?

To the first, I don't know. During teen years, most boys use their personality as birth control.

And having never had sex with a virgin, I consider no woman to be unclean.

Just human constructs that are silly and meant to suppress our nature.
