catholic league

I have been looking at different ways to get more involved in my church and one thing I saw in a bulletin was the womens catholic league and it said that all catholic women were in it .What other ways/groups etc are there to get more involved in the catholic church? What do you do?

they have prayer meetings, make quilts and other stuff to give to people in need, and worship God. Another way to get involved in the Church is the Altar Society which basically does the same thing but a little differently. talk to someone in your Church and have her explain it.

I just finished watching the movie and I do not understand why a catholic group would target that specific movie? what was it the story line/characters/language etc. that they wanted to shield children from?

I cannot speak for the Catholic League.

The author Peter Pullman (who is an Atheist) made the Catholic Church the bad guy in the book and its sequels.

I don't know about any heroes. The 30 years war was between the Catholic League and the Protestant Union. A central Danish-Norwegian figure in the Protestant Union was the Danish-Norwegian King Christian IV, it is probably him you mean.

Obama is far too intelligent to be a theist but also intelligent enough not to admit it.
Obama knows very well that anyone who looks to the sky for answers is a pagan.
The world cannot progress while so many of it's inhabitants adhere to a pagan mentality. Catholics feel threatened by this global swing away from superstitious nonsense.
